Sunglasses

Sunglasses do not only serve a chic purpose. Accordingly, they serve a fashionable sense of style. But fashion does not have to end just there. There are sunglasses which are fashionable, but not only that, they also serve the purpose of protecting the eyes from the harmful UV rays.

UV radiation, and therefore UV rays are still present even if the sky is not so bright in the sky. Despite snow and a heavy cast of the clouds, UV rays are still able to penetrate the sky and thus get into the eyes and, ultimately, cause some harmful effects. Excessive UV rays can cause an inflammation of the cornea, it also even causes pterygium. Pterygium is from prolonged exposure of the eyes to these harmful rays. Pterygium affects the cornea and thus affects the vision ultimately.

Sunglasses with UV protection are the solution to these anxieties toward the sun. They are equipped, not only with UVA/UVB protective layers but sometimes even to the extent of even having polarizing layers which block out excess glare.

Not all sunglasses, though, offer UV protection. There are those which only serve a decorative purpose. It is best to look for sunglasses which have UV protection. Look for those which block out at least 99% of the UVB rays and 95% of the UVA rays.
